Canterbury Bells

Canterbury bells produce some of the largest, most perfectly bell-shaped flowers of any campanula. The stately spikes of blue, pink, or white bells have graced cottage gardens for centuries. They are the classic campanula.

Cup and Saucer Forms

Some varieties have a double calyx creating a “cup and saucer” effect – the bell sits on a flat, petal-like saucer. These forms are particularly charming and popular for cutting.

Growing Tips

Biennial – sow in summer for flowers the following year. Full sun to part shade. Plants can reach 60-90cm and may need staking. Self-sows once established, creating perpetual plantings.
