This guide provides standard adult dosing ranges for different herbal preparations. Always adjust based on individual needs.
Dried Herbs for Tea
Standard infusion (leaves, flowers):
- Amount: 1-2 teaspoons per cup (240ml)
- Steep time: 5-15 minutes, covered
- Daily amount: 1-3 cups
Standard decoction (roots, bark):
- Amount: 1-2 teaspoons per cup
- Simmer time: 15-30 minutes
- Daily amount: 1-3 cups
Tinctures
Standard ratio (1:5):
- Standard dose: 2-4 ml (30-60 drops), 2-3 times daily
Concentrated (1:2 or 1:3):

Glycerites
